Julio L. Martínez, S.Jwas born in Vigo (Spain) in 1964. He entered the Society of Jesus in 1982 and was ordained priest in 1995. He is a Professorin Moral Theology in the Faculty of Theology at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas, and in Social and Political Philosophy in the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, Humanities, at the same University. He is a Doctor of Theology at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas; he possesses an STL Degree in Moral Theology from the Weston School of Theology, Cambridge, USA and a Licenciate Degree in Philosophy from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas. His teaching and research focus on issues of religion, politics, migration and social moral. He has published numerous books and articles on issues of liberalism and Catholicism, reflections on social moral issues and issues such as citizenship and the integration of multicultural and multireligious societies, from the perspective of theological and philosophical ethics.
